Mark The Spot
A Celebration of Ideas, Goals, Hopes and The American Dream
This blog is provided as service to Clean Solutions, LLC customers as well all interested individuals. The focus of the blog is to discuss issues pertaining to the contract cleaning industry as well as whatever the political, social or business issue of the day. I welcome your suggestions, comments and inquiries as this is an on-line community where your ideas are valued. My goal is to provide you the reader with a weekly column that will cover many different areas. These areas will be broad based to cover a cross-section of business, politics, and ideas to improve processes related to the cleaning industry. I encourage all readers to chime in and add their opinions, comments and suggestions. The true power behind blogging is the contributions made by the readership.
What is a blog?
Short for web log is a web application which contains periodic posts on a common webpage. These posts are often but not necessarily in reverse chronological order. Blogs range in scope from individual diaries to arms of political campaigns, media programs, and corporations. They range in scale from the writings of one occasional author, to the collaboration of a large community of writers. Many weblogs enable visitors to leave public comments, which can lead to a community of readers centered around the blog; others are non-interactive.
Why blog?
I am a self professed, lifelong student of understanding the unlimited possibility and potential of human capital. Often in life, more questions go unanswered than answered. However one of my interests is to understand why some people despite all the odds, overcome tremendous adversity while others with every possible advantage have a hard time overcoming obstacles. I am a firm believer that we can all learn from one another and therefore writing and participating in a community blog can provide tremendous utility.
Credits
I would like to thank life long friend Troy Smith, Associate Professor of Human Services at North Shore Community College in Boston for naming the blog “Mark the Spot”. Both he and Kimberly May-Bailey, Director of Comprehensive Services for the Urban League of Greater Harford were instrumental in proofing the copy as well as assessing the usability and functionality of the Clean Solutions, LLC website. I would also like to extend a special thank you to Karen LeBoulluec principal, Conceptual Design Studio, LLC. A tremendous amount of human capital was invested in the design and development of our new website. Mr. Irving Rivera played an instrumental role in creating the name Clean Solutions six years ago and it is the name that we still use today with great pride. And finally to my mother Mildred, sister Kimberly, brother Tracey, nephew Marcus, niece Nichelle, Mother Warren, my beautiful wife Cindy and our newborn Nicole Joy you guys mean the world to me and it is with every waking day that I thank God for each of you!
