Restorative
cleaning involves stripping or removing the old
floor
finish (wax, sealant or protector) from the surface of the
floor and replacing it with the same or different floor
finish (wax, sealant or protector).
Restorative Cleaning:
-
Identify the type of
floor surface involved.
-
Understand your
expectations of how you would like the floors to look.
-
Discuss your current
maintenance program and budget.
-
Assess foot traffic
patterns to determine how dirt I spread throughout your
facility.
-
Identify concerns
regarding indoor air quality.
-
Recommend the
appropriate process and chemicals to restore your floors
so that they can be easily maintained going forward.

Restorative Cleaning
Benefits: 1.
Floors always look better when they are restored and fresh
floor finish (wax, sealants or protectors) are applied.
2. There is a correlation between the perception of
overall cleanliness of a facility and the condition of the
floors.
3. We offer a variety of floor finishes (waxes, sealants
and protectors) that are high in quality and are designed
based on the type of floor program that you want to achieve.
Some floor finishes require frequent maintenance to
maintain a superior gloss (shine)
Examples of where these
types of finishes are used:
- Hospital Floors
- Supermarket and other Retail Stores
- Class A Office Buildings where image is everything
Other floor finishes require less maintenance but
provide a lower but in many cases an acceptable level of
gloss (shine)
- Childcare Centers
- High traffic floors with limited budgets
- Physician Offices
- Class B Office Buildings where clean floors (not
necessarily shiny) is the order of the day.

Interim Cleaning involves the daily, weekly or monthly
scheduled cleaning of
the floors. This includes sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and
buffing the floors to enhance the gloss (shininess) of the
floors.
Frequency of interim cleanings is dependant on
customer expectations, foot traffic, soil buildup, type
floor and the type of floor finish (wax, sealant and
protector) that was applied during the restorative cleaning
process.
Interim Cleaning:
-
Discuss preventative maintenance program.
-
Identify strategic locations for the placement of walk off
mats.
-
Discuss current maintenance program and budget based on
the type of flooring process, and chemicals used in the
Restorative Cleaning Process.
-
Recommend the appropriate chemicals and processes for
cleaning, scrubbing and if necessary, buffing the floors.
-
Establish a frequency for maintaining the floors.

Interim Cleaning Benefits: 1. Interim cleanings are essential to extending the
overall life of the tile by reducing cracking, fading and
pitting. All factors that can contribute to replacing tile
early.
2. Interim cleanings are essential to remove foreign soil
that can cause slip and fall accidents.
3. Interim cleanings are essential to extending the period
in between restorative cleanings which is labor intensive
and thus more costly.
4. There is a correlation between the perception of overall
cleanliness of a facility and the condition of the floors.
5. Floors that undergo interim cleanings are easier to
sweep, mop and dry faster than non-maintained floors . |
